What's Your Great Idea?

Identify a problem or need, define your solution, find out what makes it unique, and research your target audience: Who are they, what do they need, and what are they currently using?

Who's the Competition?

Identify your competitors and what's their pricing, services, and how do they advertise. Find gaps in the market, estimate the potential market, and analyze customer behavior and buying habits.

How Will I Make it Work?

Create a Business Plan with an Executive Summary, Company Overview, Market Analysis, Products/Services, Marketing & Sales Strategy, your Operations Plan, and Financial Plan with startup costs, expenses, and projections.

What About the Money?

You'll need to estimate your startup costs, open a business bank account, do bookkeeping, plan for taxes, and track any deductions. Will you fund your business on your own, loans, investors, or grants?

Build a Brand

Start by choosing a business name, match it to a domain, and create your logo. Then, write a simple brand story around why you exist and who you plan to serve. Choose a color palette for your brand and build a basic website that can generate leads. You'll need to include your business contact info, so you'll want to set up a business email and your social media accounts.
